Projects

With projects in Haiti and Africa, Global Health Innovations continues to grow everyday helping children and mothers’ gain access to better prevention and treatment programs for many of the toughest diseases in resource-limited countries. We work with a variety of medical groups both in the US and on the ground in country to ensure that the best care possible is provided.

We use existing technology and scaleable processes from the simple to much more involved to implement new or existing treatments, with our goal to improve the overall health of children and mothers and provide solutions that save lives.

Kenya

Although Kenya continues to make progress in its fight against HIV/AIDS, there are still challenges that must be faced to stem the transmission of this deadly disease. We are in the beginning stages of partnering with the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) to pilot our HITSystem in several clinics nationwide. This innovative intervention will play a comprehensive role in improving the health outcomes of women and children affected by HIV/AIDS.

Haiti

Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere and continues to be burdened with natural, economic and political disasters. With an already deteriorating health care infrastructure, it has the highest HIV prevalence in the world outside of sub-Saharan Africa. We have been working in Haiti for several years in different capacities working on malaria, HIV/AIDS and Medical Assessments. Our President and Medical Director, Brad Gautney, was the co-designer of Haiti’s HIV Early-Infant Diagnosis Program which now allows the majority of children born to HIV positive mothers to be tested using HIV DNA PCR within 4-6 weeks of age.

Malawi

Malawi is known as the “Warm Heart of Africa” for its friendly people and beautiful landscape. However, it is also one of the countries most affected by HIV/AIDS and malaria in the world. We are partnering with Dr. Anne Alaniz, and her father Dr. Peter Maseko, to build a birthing center and pediatric hospital to meet the most basic needs of the Maganga Village. We are also in the process of designing, implementing and managing a maternal and pediatric HIV/AIDS and malaria program for the people in this region. 100% of funds donated through the tabs below go to Dr. Anne’s work in Malawi.

Ghana

It is hard to believe that slavery and trafficking of children still exists today, but it is estimated that there are over 7,000 young children still living in slavery in the Lake Volta Region of Ghana where we are working. We partner with amazing people and organizations to provide health care for those rescued from child trafficking while also building relationships through health care programs on the islands in the region where trafficked children still live.

Liberia

Liberia has been plagued by civil war this past decade which has caused a severe breakdown in health care services within the country. Both of these factors have contributed to a high number of children in Liberia becoming orphaned. We have recently provided medical care for an orphanage in Flehla and are working with partners to facilitate future health care for the children as well as constructing a community clinic for this region.
