hitsystem
HITSystem is a decade-old innovative healthcare software solution that aims to achieve complete prevention of mother-to-child HIV transmission by improving PMTCT retention, Maternal HIV viral suppression, and HIV Exposed infants testing. It provides provides guideline-based electronic alerts for the clinicians through the PMTCT and EID Alerts dashboards and to the mothers through SMS text messages. The system also bridges the gap between the National Lab and the health facility by electronically relaying the results back immediately they are posted and alerting the mother and the clinician before the physical copies reach the facility.
The HITSystem is actively used in Kenya for research, and in Tanzania to provide program wide support. The system has also previously been used in Malawi, Nigeria and Haiti.
CTS KANSAS CITY
The CTS is a Covid Tracking System that is currently used by the Unified Government of Wyndotte County Public Health Department to document Social Needs Investigations among the Wyndotte county community in Kansas City, KS. The system has a Community Healthcare Worker referral feature that alerts the CHW team of COVID-19 positive cases that request for CHW support and the best time to call. It also also filters and provides an export list of cases that requested for food and cleaning supplies to the Food and Cleaning Supplies department.
Apart from that, the CTS is actively used to perform some level of contact tracing among positive cases by documenting case contacts details. One interesting feature of this is the ability to generate official government letters for a positive case, negative case, quarantine letters, call back letters, and behavioural health referral letters. All the letters are securely generated by the system on the click of a button and they are complete with the respective institutions' logo and the Health Officer's signature.
